InsideOut gallery is one of the largest art galleries in the mid-west. Housed in an old furniture warehouse building & located within the burgeoning Warehouse District in Traverse City, Michigan, we are right downtown- but "Way Off the beaten Path."

We specialize in Low-Brow, Outsider, Pop Surrealism & Urban Art. Our main gallery space is over 4000 sq. ft. and is dedicated to the visual arts. Our theatre venue space is 2500 sq.ft. & is a great space to host our weekly Music & Film series. Set up as a cool lounge feel, we can seat up to 200 friends comfortably. Most of our concerts are national recording acts that range from Blues, Folk, Americana, Roots, Jazz, Punk & even Hardcore. See our list of past performers if you care about that kind of thing.

We are all over the film genre with our "movie series". Presented 3 times a week on our 25 ft. screen. Showing 2 nights a week + a Saturday mid-morning serial & feature. Have a blast with our "brew & view" features such as- B minus Movie Madness- and lots o' classic stuff like Film Noir- Horror- Comedy- Art Documentaries & Foreign Films. We have lots of interests & so do you. Always free popcorn with our flicks.

Other performances range from avant guard theatre to Poetry Slams to Modern Dance to Burlesque. Anything with a hip/funky, daring edge. We get it here.
We are also your alternative space for receptions, private parties & company shindigs.
Come on by & let us know if our space fits your personality for your next special event.

Inside Out Gallery has been around now for over 5 years & has just completed a major renovation. Bigger space, new restrooms, new walls, new bar & even some new tenants. It was extremely important for us to be very handicapped accessible and progressively tolerant. Everyone is welcome as long as you bring your thinking cap, leave any prejudice you may have behind and have an interesting sense of humor. Come on by, hang out in our new digs & get inspired.

There goes the neighborhood!
